Archeological site of Nora
Nora remained buried until 1952. Only few of its monumental ruins which had already been noted by XVI century scholar John Fara were visible, who identified those ruins with ancient Nora. Later we heard news from XIX century travelers, including Francis of Austria-Este, who tells us about of the remains of the aqueduct, the theater, of which there were nine or ten rows of stands, and ruins of thermal buildings, which we can identify in the Thermals at sea.
